Going to a music festival is an exhilarating feeling yet, there are many components that go beyond buying the ticket. Packing for camping, finding a hotel room, picking outfits and planning which sets to see all contribute to your festival experience.
My first festival, I planned to wear more fashionable clothes. I had planned to wear a sheer, lace coverup over a bodysuit and a turquoise blue romper with a belt. Now if you know me, you’d understand why I didn’t actually end up wearing any of the cute clothes I had planned. My style is very relaxed; usually consisting of an over-sized loose fitting t-shirt that hangs off the shoulder and a pair of shorts or leggings and a flannel in the winter. When I got to the festival and realized how hot, sweaty and crowded I had already been at the camp site, I decided to change into more comfortable clothes that I knew I could have a blast in!
Festivals, like Coachella, may put you under pressure of being fashionable. This adds more stress to the festival adventure especially if you prefer comfort over style. Remember, most festivals are in the desert which means it’s going to be hot and dirty! Dress according to what’s going to make your experience the most comfortable.
Two Piece Sets
Two piece sets are found at any store, whether online, in the mall or at a local boutique. There are many trends acquainted with these sets which makes it easy to find the perfect one for your style. Two Piece Sets are my favorite festival fits because they are usually fabricated with comfortable material that has a loose-fitting feel. Being already matched and ready to wear, these sets can make choosing an outfit that much easier. Mixing and matching two piece sets is an available option. Pair the shorts with one of your favorite tops from home or combine the top with any choice of bottom you feel most fitting. Be sure to accessorize with jewelry to give your set the ultimate festival feel.
The striped pattern on this two piece set gives length to your body while adding color for a light, fun feel.
Crotchet tops are easy to mix and match because of their simple style. Pair them with loose fitting shorts, jean shorts, or ‘hippie’ pants to get a festival vibe. Adding accessories to your crotchet top, such as a body chain or necklaces, can complement your outfit and add more to the clothing itself. These tops are the ultimate way to get one of your festival fits checked off the list.
Overalls & Rompers
Like the two piece set, overalls and rompers are perfect for keeping you cool in the desert heat. They’re outfits that don’t take up a lot of room in your luggage and never seem to disappoint when planning what to wear. Overalls & Rompers are complimenting to your style, body type and are easily executed.
